General Terms and Conditions
1. REGISTRATION ENTRY
1.1. Registration
for participation in the Event is possible only through the submission of
online registration form available in the official Events website or by any
alternative way indicated by us.
1.2. We have the
absolute right to suspend, reject or close registrations without prior notice.
1.3. The registration
fee as determined from time to time must be paid simultaneously with
registration.
1.4. The
registration fee may be amended from time to time without prior notice.
1.5. Any
registration which has not be submitted and/or paid in accordance with the
terms above shall be cancelled without prior notice.
1.5. The registration fee is non-refundable. If you are unable to participate, you may transfer your registration to the following year’s edition of the event. Transfer requests must be submitted via email at info@limassolmarathon.com
1.6. Any registration which has not be submitted and/or paid in accordance with the terms above shall be cancelled without prior notice.
1.7. The information which are given to the registration form by the participants must be true, accurate and correct.
1.8. By submission of relevant registration as described above and proper payment of registration fee, you agree to participate in the Annual Athletic Mass Participation Event under the name of OPAP LIMASSOL MARATHON (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Event’) and you further agree to abide by and comply with the present Terms and Conditions and with any further instructions which shall be provided or be published or be announced by us and/or the officials of the Event.
1.9. The electronic chip which shall be provided from us must be collected by the participants from the Events registration offices. The collection of electronic chips must be made at least two (2) working days before the Event, unless it is instructed otherwise.
2. PARTICIPATION /EVENT SAFETY
2.1. By
participating in the Event you are fully aware of the risks involved in your
participation including without limitation to possible damage or harm or
injury.
2.2. You
participate in the Event at your own free will and on your own responsibility
and you bear full responsibility for your fitness condition and ability to
participate in the Event.
2.3. If
you participate in the Event you must strictly follow the instructions of us,
officials and staff including instructions or calls to abandon and stop the
race.
2.4. Persons
who have not registered as referred herein they are not able to participate the
Event on that day.
2.5. If
you participate in the Event you must comply with the rules of the IAAF and
AIMS and Cyprus Sports Organisation CSO.
2.6. The
electronic chip which may be provided by the event for recording the time of
participants must be used by you in accordance with our instructions and/or
instructions of the staff, or officials of the Event. In any other case, it is
possible that you are disqualified from the race. If you participate in the
Event you must respect and strictly follow the regulations and instructions
given by us, officials and staff, before, during and after the Event.
2.7. Participation
in the Event is personal to you; you are strictly prohibited from swapping,
selling or transferring or offering to sell, swap or transfer the place in the
Event or allowing any other person to wear the Event number. Any breach of this
condition shall render the entry and participation void. If you are found to be
in breach of this condition, we reserve the right to exclude you from
participation in future Events.
2.8. You
are not permitted to use the following items in the Event: -any wheeled device
(subject to Condition 2.11);
2.8.1. any
artificial aid;
2.8.2. any
pets or animals; or
2.8.3. any
other item that could potentially inhibit the flow or safety of other
participants or which we, in our opinion, deem may cause danger or risk of
danger to you or other participants.
2.9. By
participating on the Event Date, you agree, warrant and declare that you are
sufficiently fit and healthy to participate in the Event. If you are in any
doubt, we recommend that you seek medical advice and avoid participating in the
Event.
2.10. If
you have entered the wheelchair section of the Event, you are only permitted to
use a self-propelled wheelchair without gears or any mechanical, powered or
electronic aid or device. If any other instructions are given to you from us,
staff or officials of the Event regarding the vehicle or the relevant section
you must strictly follow them. If you do not comply and/or the vehicle does not
fit with the present Terms and Conditions and/or the instructions given to you
then you are not able to participate in the Event, your participation shall be
deemed as void and you are not able to seek any compensation for damages.
3. EVENT EJECTION
3.1. We
reserve the right to refuse entry to the Event or to ask you to cease participation
if any of the below applies:
3.1.1. You
fail to follow instructions given by us and/or Event officials and/or to comply
with the present Terms and Conditions;
3.1.2. You
attempt to participate in the Event in a manner that we believe:
3.1.2.1. may
cause injury to you and/or another participant and/or other person; and/or
3.1.2.2. may
damage or harm the environment; and/or
3.1.2.3. may
cause offense; and/or
3.1.2.4. may
cause a risk or potential risk to health and safety including without limitation
any failure, in whole or in part, to comply with the restrictions in condition
2.
3.1.3. In
our opinion you are unfit to participate in the Event due to:
3.1.3.1. the
consumption or use of alcohol or drugs; and/or
3.1.3.2. an
injury or illness; and/or
3.1.3.3. You
fail to arrive at the start location at the specified time; and/or
3.1.3.4. You
are unable to make sufficient progress in the Event to allow you to complete
the Event in line with timelines set by Event officials. Competitors will only
be eligible for a medal and to be feature in the results if they complete the
course before the official cut off time.
3.1.4. You
are not eligible for participation on a selected race of the event, due to age
restrictions. Age restrictions are noted in the Event website and may be
changed without any prior notice, at any given time before the beginning of the
event.
3.2. If,
in accordance with Condition 3.1, you are refused entry to the Event or we,
staff or officials of the Event ask you to cease participation in the Event
and/or abandon the race, you must immediately comply with such
instruction/request, remove your runner's identification number and electronic
chip, and return them to an Event official before leaving the Event.
4. CHANGES TO THE EVENT
4.1. We
reserve the absolute right to change the course or make any other amendment to
the Event. Those amendments may include without any limitation to
the postponement, relocation, abandonment, interruption, curtailment,
adjournment or cancellation of Event and/or change of the schedule, date and/or
time of Event. The registered members and/or participants shall have no right
to receive any refund or other compensation due to those amendments. Any change
in relation to the Event will be communicated to you at the Event or sooner if
practicable through publication on the Events official website.
4.2. Should
the course distance be reduced in accordance with Condition 4.1 for the
avoidance of doubt you agree that the Event is still deemed to be staged and
that we will not be liable to you for any refund.
5. USE OF PERSONAL DATA AND IMAGE
5.1. By
registering you consent to the processing and storing of your personal data for

5.2. By
registering you consent that your personal data may be disclosed from us to
third parties including but not limited to associates, insurance companies,
accountants and legal advisors.
5.3. By
your registration you consent that your personal data may be published on the
internet, newspapers, TV, radio, magazines, media etc. Personal data
that we may use include your name, surname, identity card/passport, age,
accommodation, occupation, image and appearance.
5.4. The
Event may be televised, filmed and/or otherwise recorded and photographs may be
taken all of which may capture your participation in the Event. By your
registration you agree to the publication of such videos or photographs, filming,
recording and broadcasts including you and their use by us and by those
authorized by us in any way which we deem fit now or in the future including
but not limited to film, broadcast, radio, TV, or any kind of publication.
5.5. By
your registration you consent that any audio, visual, or audio-visual
recordings that you make of the Event or any part of it which is posted in the
social media under any OPAP Limassol Marathon channel, may be used by the OPAP
Limassol Marathon.
5.6. Any
audio, visual, or audio-visual recordings that you make of the Event or any
part of it are for personal use only and cannot be used for any commercial or
other purpose.
6. YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA SUBJECT
According to the GDPR, you, as data subject, have
the following rights:
6.1. The
right to be informed about our collection and use of your personal data. This
section in our website should tell you everything you need to know but you can
always ask for additional information and/or clarifications.
6.2. The
right to access the personal data we hold about you. This means that you can
ask us details of your personal data and for a copy of it if this is available.
6.3. The
right to have your personal data rectified if any of your personal data held by
us is inaccurate or incomplete.
6.4. The
right to erase your personal data (partially or in total), subject to the
limitations referred herein and/or of any law or regulation.
6.5. The
right to be informed regarding rectification, erasure or restriction of data
processing that affect your personal data.
6.6. The
right to object to us using your personal data for a particular purpose or
purposes subject to the limitations referred herein and/or of any law or
regulation.
6.7. The
right to object to processing your personal data for direct marketing and/or
automated processing including profiling which is related to direct marketing.
6.8. The
right to data portability meaning that you can ask to obtain a copy of your
personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine readable format. You
also have the right to ask for your personal data to be transmitted directly to
another data controller in case such transmission is technically feasible.
6.9. The
right to revoke the consent at any time if we use your personal data based on
your written consent. It is clarified that any processing prior to the receipt
of such revocation will not be affected.
6.10. The
right to be notified in case of high risk of data breach which affecting your
personal data.
All above rights -except right in paragraph (j) -
can be exercised by placing a request in writing as described in the Contact Us
section. You can also request clarifications or lodge a complaint against the
way we process your personal data.
Upon receiving your request, we will respond to
your request (free of charge but in case that your request is ‘manifestly
unfounded or excessive’ a fee for our administrative costs may be charged)
within reasonable time not exceeding one month.
All above rights are limited and subject to the
provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and/or limited and subject to the
provisions of this section and/or terms and conditions.
7. LIABILITY
7.1. In
no event we shall be liable whether for breach of contract or otherwise, for
any act or omission (including negligence) or otherwise, under or in connection
with the present Terms and Conditions for any:
7.1.1. loss or
damage;
7.1.2. loss
of profit;
7.1.3. loss
of reputation;
7.1.4. loss
of business, revenue or goodwill;
7.1.5. loss
of anticipated savings;
7.1.6. pledges
made on your behalf or by you to charity; and/or
7.1.7. consequential
or indirect loss, regardless of whether the loss or damage:(a) would arise in
the ordinary course of events;(b) is reasonably foreseeable; or(c) is in the contemplation
of the parties, or otherwise.
7.2. Nothing
in these Terms and Conditions shall affect our liability for death or personal
injury, fraud, or any other liability to the extent it cannot be excluded or
limited by law and to the extent that such incident has been resulted from our
fault.
8. FORCE MAJEURE
8.1. We
shall not be liable for any delay in performance or non-performance, in whole
or in part of our obligations or duties in relation to the Event, caused by the
occurrence of any event or contingency beyond of our control including, but not
limited to, pandemics, virus, work stoppages, fires, civil disobedience, riots,
rebellions, natural disasters, acts of God, acts of war or terrorism, actions
or decrees of governmental bodies, and similar occurrences
9. MERCHANDISE
9.1. Merchandise,
which is purchased from the Event's website, will be available for collection
at the Event's registration offices. Such merchandise shall be available at the
event's registration offices during the operational hours of the offices, as
posted in due time in the official communication channels of the event.
9.2. All purchased merchandise must be claimed and/or picked up within fifteen working days after the conclusion of the event. If that is not the case, the event has the right to differ the purchase for the merchandise of next year’s event.
9.3. If
you are not satisfied with the delivered goods you may return them by notifying
us in writing by email to info@limassolmarathon.com explaining the reason of
such return. Also, the goods must be returned to us within 14 (fourteen)
calendar days from the day of delivery in order to be acceptable from us.
9.4. Returns
for goods to you. We propose to inspect the goods immediately after
their delivery.
9.5. Shipping
expenses regarding the return of goods should be paid by the customer. For
your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service. Please
note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless
we delivered the good to you in error, or if a faulty good was sent to you.
9.6. The
returned goods must be packaged by you securely in the packaging they were
received and send them to us with a copy of your invoice.
9.7. We
can only accept the return of opened goods if they are faulty.
9.8. Save
the cases of non-availability of goods referred below, the event will not make
any kind of monetary refunds for faulty goods. In case of faulty goods, the
event will provide the buyer with the same or alternative product.
9.9. In
the event of non-availability of goods, we reserve the right to cancel the
order and refund.
9.10. Prices
and manufacturers specifications may change without notice. Minor specification
variations do not entitle the purchaser to cancel the order and/or refuse or
return the good.
9.11. For
suitability of goods please contact the manufacturer directly.
9.12. We
do not deliver goods to P.O. Box numbers. Late delivery does not entitle you to
refuse or return the goods or cancel the order.
10. ACCOMMODATION
10.1. If
you book your accommodation with us, the full amount of the accommodation
booking should be paid at least twenty (20) calendar days before the arrival
date. If the amount due is not settled within the 20-day period, the reservation
will be cancelled without any notice and any amount has been paid by the
customer shall not be refundable.
10.2. For
Today's Value Rates the full amount should be paid simultaneously with the
booking.
10.3. In
case of cancellation, modification or no-show the full amount of the booking
will be charged.
10.4. For
bookings which are cancelled by the customers at least three (3) calendar days
before arrival, 100% of first night will be charged.
10.5. For
bookings which are cancelled later than three (3) calendar days before arrival,
there will be no refund and the total price of the reservation will be charged.
11. PACKAGES
11.1. A
package may include the following products: race slot to selected race,
accommodation to selected hotel for a selected set of dates on a selected type
of board, selected event merchandise, transfers to the start line of the event,
airport transfers.
11.2. The
list of products referred in 10.1 are is non exhaustive and may be altered. The
event will deliver the range of services and products as agreed at the time of
purchase via the official channels of the event.
11.3. A
deposit must be paid simultaneously with the booking (40%).
11.4. The
amount due must be paid at least thirty (30) calendar days before the arrival;
if the full amount is not settled within the 30-day period, the reservation
will be cancelled without any notice and any amount has been paid by the
customer shall not be refundable.
11.5. Package
cancellation policy:
11.5.1. For
bookings cancelled up to 31/1/2025 there will be a charge of 50 euro.
11.5.2. For
bookings canceled between 01/2/2025 and 24/02/2025,
20% of the amount will be charged.
11.5.3. For
bookings canceled between 25/2/2025 onwards, 50 euro will be refunded.
12. COMMUNITY PACKAGES (Run Mummy
Run)
12.1. Payment
Policy:
If you are a member of Run Mummy Run and you book
your accommodation from us a deposit payment of 30% of your overall amount must
be paid simultaneously with your booking. The full payment must be paid thirty
(30) calendar days prior to your arrival. If the full amount is not paid within
the 30-day period, the reservation will be cancelled without any notice and any
amount has been paid by the customer shall not be refundable.
12.2. Cancellation
Policy
12.2.1. For
bookings cancelled up to 31/01/2025, there will be a charge of 50 euro.
12.2.2. For
bookings cancelled between 01/02/2025 and
24/02/2025, 20% of the full amount will be charged.
12.2.3. For
bookings cancelled from 25/2/2025 onwards, 50 euro will be refunded.
13. WEBSITE USE:
13.1. We
have no control over, or responsibility for, websites to which this website is
linked. Your use of such websites is at your sole risk.
13.2. While
we have endeavoured to ensure the accuracy of information on the website, we do
not guarantee or give any warranty as to the accuracy, timeliness or
completeness of any information or material on the website. The website and the
Content as interpreted below are provided "as is", without any
warranties of any kind unless specifically stated. Please note that some
jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some or all
the above exclusions may not apply to you. The website, including text,
content, software, video, sound, graphics, photographs, illustrations, artwork,
names, logos, trademarks, service marks and other material
("Content") is protected by copyrights, trademarks and / or other

reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the website at any
time, without notice for any reason whatsoever.

website is not directed at any person in any jurisdiction where for any reason
the publication or availability of the website is prohibited. Those in respect
of whom such prohibitions apply must not access the website. We do not
represent that either the website or the Content are appropriate for use or
permitted by local laws in all jurisdictions. Those who access the website do

14. GENERAL
14.1. The
present Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Cyprus law, and the Cyprus
Courts shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any relevant dispute
may arise.
14.2. If
any provision of the present Terms and Conditions is invalid or unenforceable,
in whole or in part, the validity of the remainder shall not be affected.
14.3. We
are able to change or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. This
could happen, for example, because of law changes, or if we change our business
or our practices. In such cases, you shall be deemed to have accepted such
amendments immediately after their publication on the website. Thus, we
encourage that you visit our website and you read our Terms and Conditions from
time to time.
14.4. All
registrations from past events that were postponed due to the Covid-19
pandemic, can be transferred to future events, up until 2023. No transfers will
be accepted after the event in 2023.
15. Reserve your spot
15.1. Terms
& Conditions
15.1.1. The
reservation is not transferrable.
15.1.2. The
reservation will be reserved without payment for up to 30 days. After that you
won’t be eligible to benefit from the reserved price
16. Terms and Conditions for Entry
16.1. Entries are available upon availability until March 20, 2025.
16.2. An entry is considered valid on the condition that it has been successfully
submitted through the relevant section in the Event’s website.
16.3. The finish time and the result may be submitted at any day or time from March 24th to March 28th, 2025. No finish time and result may be taken under
consideration unless a photo of a GPS watch, smartwatch, or smartphone
application where the distance and the running time are shown, is sent along.
16.4. The distance that the participant may run must be the same as the
distance he/she selected upon entry.
16.5. Any elevation differentiation is not taken under consideration for the
announcement of results and final ranking.
16.6. Participants agree that they have run the stated distance by themselves,
they have not used any kind of vehicle (bicycle, moto, etc) and that the submitted
result is true.
