Start with Primetel corporate road and 10,000 runners

Ten thousand runners took part in the Primetel 5km Corporate Road - Tomorrow's champions shone in Andrey & amp; Julia Dashin's Foundation Youth Race & nbsp;


The competition leg of the 13th OPAP Limassol Marathon started on Saturday, March 23, which culminates and ends on Sunday (24/3 ). Ten thousand runners from 240 companies and teams, flooded the coastal front of Limassol, creating a new record of participation both in the Primetel Corporate Road 5km and at a certain distance, in a race in Cyprus. A total of 16,000 runners of all ages will take part in the six routes of the 13th OPAP Limassol Marathon , while 3,000 people have come from abroad. & Nbsp;

Winner in Primetel Corporate Road 5km was the Garmin team with 16:44 average time of its first four runners. Orbit Moving & amp; amp; Storage Ltd (18:13) and the University of Cyprus (18:57). For another year, Primetel had the largest team. The start was given by the Deputy Minister of Tourism Mr. Savvas Perdios, representing the President of the Republic. Among the runners who participated was the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Mrs. Vasiliki Anastasiadis. & Nbsp;

Mrs. Vasiliki Anastasiadis gave the first start to Andrey & amp; amp ; Julia Dashin’s Foundation Youth Race where 800 children aged 6-16 took part, running in the 500m, 1,000m and 1,500m, depending on age (6-9, 10-13, 14-16). A special moment was the participation of the Apostolos Loukas Limassol Special School, which won the biggest applause. The Mayor of Limassol Mr. Nikos Nikolaidis and the President of KOA Mr. Andreas Michailidis honored the race with their presence, as well as the President of KOEA Mr. Periklis Markaris, since the OPAP Limassol Marathon is the Pancyprian MASO Championship. & nbsp;

On Sunday, 24 In March, the 42,195-meter marathon will start at 7:30 am, followed by the Half Marathon (7:45 am), Petrolina Energy Road 10km (8:00 am) and City Race 5km (8:15am). Athletes on Sunday (24/3) are transported free of charge to the starting line by EMEL buses. Itineraries start at Elias Beach Hotel at 5:30 am and continue every ten minutes until 6:30 am & nbsp;
