POSTPONEMENT POLICY

Dear runner,
 
The last few 24 hours were the most challenging for #RUNLIMASSOL. 

Due to COVID-19 and the subsequent containment measures in Cyprus, it was decided that the 14th OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO is postponed to the 21st and 22nd of November 2020.

The postponement of the event has caused unprecedented difficulties for the organizing team but most importantly for the thousands of runners who were going to attend the event. 

Working hard to deliver the best possible alternatives, we announce the following:

For the purposes of this announcement the following apply:

The event which was scheduled for the 21st and 22nd of March 2020 and which has been postponed will be referred to as the “March Event”.

The event taking place on the 21st and 22nd of November 2020 will be referred to as the “November Event”.

The 15th OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO is scheduled for 27th and 28th March 2021 and will be referred to as the “2021 Event”.

All communication, enquiries and questions should be done via email only to info@limassolmarathon.com. 

For more efficient service, we will not answer any enquiries or comments -through social media. 

DEFERRED ENTRY POLICY

1. All registrations for the “March Event” have automatically been transferred to the “November Event”.

2. Those who want to run a different distance in the “November Event” than the one they registered for in the “March Event”, can do so by sending an email to info@limassolmarathon.com with subject “CHANGE DISTANCE”.

3. Those who cannot make it to the “November Event” will be allowed to transfer their registration to the “2021 Event”. To do so please send an email to info@limassolmarathon.com with subject “DEFERRED ENTRY”.

4. For those unable to attend the November Event and the 2021 Event, unfortunately there will be no refund.


MERCHANDISE

All merchandise purchases can be picked up at the “November Event”. Those who prefer to receive their merchandise earlier can do so. In such case, please contact info@limassolmarathon.com to get further information on the matter. For Cyprus residents, merchandise can also be picked up from the OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO offices in Limassol.


PACKAGES AND ACCOMMODATION BOOKINGS 
 
1. Anyone who has booked accommodation/package via the limassolmarathon.com website and wishes to still make use of their accommodation booking, please send an email to info@limassolmarathon.com with subject “RETAIN BOOKING” before midnight on Monday the 16th of March 2020. All rooms held will be released by the cut-off date.

2. For special package holders the identical race weekend package has automatically been transferred to the “November Event”.

3. For those unable to attend the “November Event”, the same package will be transferred to the “2021 Event”. To do so please send an email to info@limassolmarathon.com with subject “DEFERRED RACE WEEKEND PACKAGE”.

4. For those who cannot attend the “November Event” nor the “2021 Event”, there will be a refund for the first night of their stay only

The above apply strictly for individual PACKAGES and ACCOMMODATION bookings via the limassolmarathon.com website. Organized groups and communities will be notified separately and individually.

CORPORATE RACE

1. All team registrations at the PrimeTel 5KM Corporate Race have automatically been transferred to the “November Event”.

2. The PrimeTel 5KM Corporate Race will take place on Saturday the 21st of November 2020 at 09:00 AM.
